Artistic Director - Tarryn Brandl
Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Preschool, Mini and Petite

Tarryn's mother enrolled her in dance class at the young age of 2.5 for some social activity as she was always dancing around the house. She never had any idea it would turn into her life's passion. Tarryn continued to dance right through to college receiving her Associates in the Arts with a dance concentration from Dean College. At Dean Tarryn was able to train with some of the most talented people in the dance world. While at Dean Tarryn realized her passion extended beyond the actual art of dancing, she was able to see how much she loved to teach, the ability to share what she loved so much about this incredible art form with others. Tarryn has taught throughout Southern NH for the last 10 years. Most recently at the former Academy of Movement in Nashua. She has created dance programs and summer dance camps for the youth in several NH towns. Tarryn has the incredible opportunity to do a lot of dance therapy working with the unprivileged and special needs. She won Mentor of the Year for United Ways Youth Venture Team, Dance Creations. Tarryn has won multiple awards for her choreography and her past students have gone onto dance in college and land dance roles in many areas most well known productions. In addition she has choreographed pieces for a number of areas theatre productions including Annie, Crazy for You, High School Musical, and Wizard of Oz. Tarryn lives in Milford with her husband Sean and four legged friends Miller and Bailey. She is so excited to introduce and inspire others to this wonderful art we call dance!

 

The Dance Company Staff

Amanda Moone- Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical

  1. Amanda hails from New Hampshire where she received her early dance education.  Amanda spent her summers attending Burklyn Ballet Theatre where she studied under master teachers such as David Howard and Angela Whitehill.  As the two time recipient of “Follow Your Dreams Award”, given to her by Joyce King of Steps on Broadway in NYC and Artistic Director of JK Dance Company, she was able to study intensively in NY in a Steps on Broadway Lab Performance Series. Amanda received her BFA in Dance Performance from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford where she studied under Peggy Lyman and many other distinguished professionals. While at the Hartt School, Amanda had the opportunity to perform a solo created specifically for her by Adam Miller, Artistic Director of Adam Miller Dance Project and Cirque Du Soleil. As a junior in college Amanda became a member of Full Force Dance Theatre.  Alongside FFDT Amanda was able to perform as a guest artist at Jacob’s Pillow and Joyce SoHo in NYC.  Amanda moved to Washington, D.C. and joined Bowen McCauley Dance Company, a professional contemporary dance company. As a member of BMDC she also had the honor of instructing for the BMDC JR. Company, as well as the Dance Program for people with Parkinson’s disease that was started by the Mark Morris Dance Group in NYC. Currently Amanda teaches and gives master classes at several schools throughout New Hampshire. She is very excited to join the faculty and work with the dancers at The Dance Company!!

Maria Bradbury - Ballet, Pointe, Ballet Tech

Maria Bradbury is a California transplant, who has lived in Nashua for 15 years. She trained with San Jose Dance Theater and danced professionally there as well. She has taught classical ballet and pointe for over 20 years. By way of her husband's military career, she has had the good fortune of living in various locales, all offering wonderful opportunities for professional growth. She has trained with master teachers David Howard, Finis Jhung, Eleanor D'Antuono and Densil Adams and is certified to teach through Dance Masters of America. Besides her husband, Michael, she has a daughter, Lauren, and son, Colin.

 

Mary Elizabeth Hauver, Preschool, Tap, Jazz, Ballet,  Musical Theatre

Mary-Elizabeth Hauver has been dancing for 20 years. She trained at Melissa Hoffman Dance Center. She has won numerous awards at local dance competitions including American Dance Awards, Kaleidoscope, Dance Ovations and more. She has also competed in National Dance Competitions winning high score and special awards for her tap performances. In college, Mary-Elizabeth was the choreographer and co-captain for the dance team. She has planned and had 4 successful recitals with the college dance team. She taught previously for the former Academy of Movement. Mary-Elizabeth is also certified by the state of New Hampshire in Early Childhood Education and Special Education after earning her Masters Degree from Rivier College.

 

Angela Bennett - Ballet, Modern, and Preschool Dance

Angela recently obtained a B.F.A. in dance from UMass Amherst, with a focus in ballet, modern (Limón), and jazz. She received her early training at the former Academy of Movement where she was also a core member of their dance company. She has trained recently with the Amy Marshall Dance Company, Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance, as well as participated in a summer residency at New York University. As a student at UMASS she was very involved in the dance community participating in American College Dance Festival, Emerging Choreographers, served as the Vice President for their Alive with Dance Commitee, and was a recipient of the Chancellor’s Talent Award Scholarship. Prior to joining TDC Angela previoulsy taught at Karen's Dance Studio in Mass. Angela brings enthusiasm and discipline to her students to help them grow into the dancers they would like to become, while enjoying and appreciating the art of dance.

 

Caryn Miller- Preschool, tap, jazz, ballet, musical theatre

Caryn Miller has been dancing for over twenty years and has been teaching dance for more than ten years. She received her early training at Charlotte Klein Dance Center and was in the dance company from 1994-1997. She has received recognition for her choreography at regional and national competitions of Dance Ovations and choreographed the winning routine for Junior Miss Global Dance International.

Caryn earned her B.S. in Elementary Education a the University of Hartford and her M. Ed. in Elementary Education at Anna Maria College. She currently is a 5th grade teacher in Hollis, NH. When Caryn is not teaching little ones she spends time with her husband, daughter Sydney and son Jake.

 

Cassie Bertolino - Hip Hop and Contemporary

Cassie began dancing at a young age in Leominster MA before moving to NH and finding her home at Windham Academy of Dance where she became proficient in Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, and fell in love with Hip Hop. After graduating she packed her bags and moved to LA to further her dance training. She has had the privilege to work with world-renowned choreographers and train at some of the top dance studios on the West Coast. In addition she is constantly expanding her knowledge by attending various workshops such as Pulse and Monsters of Hip hop to name a few. Cassie brings new, fresh, innovatie choreography to TDC and looks forward to sharing some west coast flare with her students.

 

Jessice Clarke- Acrobatics and Tumbling

Jessica began gymnastics when she was 3 1/2 in Massachusetts. She moved to New Hampshire when she was 11 and competed for Gymnastics Village. She was the level 6 beam state champion and competed through level 8. IShe also was on the Souhegan High School gymnastics team and was captain of the team her junior and senior year. She began coaching in Keene, NH at American School of gymnastics while she attended Keene State College. In addition she has coached the Prep Opt Advanced gymnastics team at New England Gymnastics Training Center and won 1st place as a team in 2010. When not coaching gymnastics Jessica is studying to become at Nurse at Rivier College.

 

Shannon Richie- Stretch and Strength and Acrobatics

Shannon has been a coach for 12 years (and counting!) She is a gymnastics coach at preschool, recreational and team levels. Personal interests/experience include strength and conditioning for young tots just learning to teenager/adult status from beginner to advanced. Shannon has a Master's degree from the University at Albany in Marketing/Communication.  When Shannon is not at the studio, you can find her at CrossFit, Zumba class or coaching. She resides in Nashua.
