Amanda Gour is from Worcester, MA where she lives with her husband Matt and daughter Mackenna. She joined the TDC family in 2014 after receiving her BFA in Contemporary Dance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Amanda previously danced at Melissa Hoffman Dance Center and trained in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, pointe, musical theater, acrobatics and choreography. Amanda started teaching when she was 14 years old, and has had the opportunity to choreograph for music videos, high school dance teams, operas, and competition dance teams. She has even taught classes and choreographed pieces during mission trips to Africa. Amanda is proud to be an Acrobatic Arts certified instructor and adjudicator. In addition to teaching at TDC, Amanda also directs theater productions. She has directed Annie Jr. (2016), Aristocats Kids (2017), Alice in Wonderland Jr. (2017), Seussical Kids (2018,) Willy Wonka Jr. (2018,) Aladdin Kids (2019,) and Mary Poppins Jr. (2019.) Amanda hopes to spread her passion for dance and the performing arts to all her students at The Dance Company!
