Amanda Gour joined the TDC family in 2014 after receiving her BFA in Contemporary Dance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. She previously danced at Melissa Hoffman Dance Center and trained in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, pointe, musical theater, acrobatics and choreography. Amanda is proud to be a certified teacher through Acrobatic Arts. She started teaching when she was 14 years old, and has had the opportunity to choreograph for music videos, high school dance teams, operas and competition dance teams. She has even taught classes and choreographed pieces during mission trips to Africa. Her competition choreography has won high score and choreography awards, and she enjoys judging for dance competitions around New England. Amanda teaches every style and age group at TDC, and also directs theater productions. She has directed Annie Jr. (2016), Aristocats Kids (2017), Alice in Wonderland Jr. (2017), Seussical Kids (2018,) Willy Wonka Jr. (2018,) Aladdin Kids (2019,) and Mary Poppins Jr. (2019.) Amanda hopes to spread her passion for dance and the performing arts to all her students at The Dance Company!
